NECESSARY PRICE INCREASES COMING

 ​This is a very difficult Newsletter to be writing but it is inevitable.

In the past 3 months, these price increases have taken place:

  1. Shipping Rates – All shipping services, including USPS, have raised their rates substantially. This was done without any prior notice. the basic shipping rates with a small package is $.75 increase. Medium and large package increases are through the roof. I accepted the increase without raising my price.
  2. Shipping Supplies – Cost for boxes, packing peanuts and bubble wrap are gradually increasing in price. This has not been such a negative impact.
  3. PayPal – PayPal, without any prior notice, raised their rate shopping cart fee substantially and I do not find it necessary. This is a fee that I pay on each and every order. The increase is unjustified and a very costly increase to all business owners. Please avoid using PayPal as your payment method if at all possible.
  4. Product Price Increase – I submitted a large stock order with the clinic last Thursday evening. Friday morning, I received an email from the clinic informing me that a price increase had taken effect on October 15th and my new stock order would be subject to the new price increases. I understand it being necessary for Dr. Morse to increase the prices as the clinic is subject to these increases also. While I find the increases necessary, they are very substantial.
 
With all the increases combined, I find no other avenue but to adjust my prices as well. This is not an increase to maintain a profit margin. This is absolutely necessary for just keeping the business afloat.

I will keep the increases as minimal as I can. I appreciate all of you! I hope you will continue to support Hearken Herbs through this transition.
